Refund Policy

 

It is the responsibility of the parent of the player to apply in writing for a refund of registration fees by filling out the NCYHA Refund Request form that is posted on the NCYHA website (under Registration Forms).

 

 

The amount of the refund will be determined by the NCYHA Board of Directors, and will be based upon the following guidelines:

a.       All refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

b.       No refunds will be issued after December 31^st.

c.       No refunds will be issued for players currently serving a suspension or facing disciplinary action from NCYHA.

d.       All refunds will be prorated based upon the date of the request.

e.       Refunds requested after the player 1) is assigned to a travel team or 2) attends a practice, will be given only in the following situations:

1. The player is injured and/or has a medical condition that prohibits the player from participating in hockey for a period of at least 8 weeks.  Written verification by the attending physician is required.
2. The player and his/her family are moving from the Newport area (over 50 miles) during the hockey season.
3. The NCYHA Board of Directors determines the existence of extenuating circumstances.
4. Another player replaces the departing player and pays the appropriate fees.

f.         The NCYHA Board of Directors may deny a request for refund if the request is made outside of the above guidelines.

Multi-Player Discount Policy

 

A 10% registration discount is available to the 3^rd, 4^th… player in a single family.  To receive this discount, email the appropriate NCYHA Registrar (Travel League - sheals1@cox.net; LTS or House League - bfeld2@cox.net) either before or after you register.

Financial Aid Policy

 

Financial aid is available to all families who want to participate in a Newport County Youth Hockey Program, but who cannot afford the cost.  Both full and partial financial awards are made.  Availability is on a fist-come, first serve basis.  Applications should be submitted as soon as possible.  The NCYHA Financial Aid Application form can be found on the NCYHA website (under Registration Forms).
