Mite C Blue takes a swim for team victory

Patrick Little may be better known by the state television community as WPRI channel 12 Sportscaster - but his Newport Mite C Green team knows him as Coach Little - and the team was thrilled when he told them if they won their first tournament game this past weekend, the entire team could push him in the pool "with his clothes on" after the game in Marlboro. As you can see by the attached photo - the team won this challenge.

And rumor has it that Connor Little led the team in scoring - maybe a little extra motivation to be able to give dad a push......

As any hockey player and parent knows - the travel tournaments are about the off ice fun  (tubing, pool, team get togethers, etc) - more than the games themselves.

Thanks to all the coaches, parents, siblings, and hockey players at all levels of NCYHA for making this past weekend in Marlboro a fun and successful event for all involved.
